Bin Laden - Behind The Mask

This authoritative new biography of Osama bin Laden lifts his mask of righteousness as it recounts his transformation from dissolute rich kid into terrorist mastermind.

Mein Kampf - Adolf Hitler

Mein Kampf (English translation: "My Struggle") is a famous book by the German-Austrian politician Adolf Hitler, combining elements of autobiography with an exposition of Hitler's political ideology of Nazism. Volume 1 of Mein Kampf was published in 1925, with volume 2 in 1926.

Written in 1924 while Hitler was in Landsburg Prison for attempting to overthrow the elected government by force, Mein Kampf is a loosely structured patchwork of autobiographical narratives, historical and political analyses, and disquisitions on a wide range of topics such as international finance, democracy, trade unions, the role of propaganda, etc. Hitler's views on any topic are usually found scattered in various sections of the book, sometimes as part of an extended treatment, sometimes in incidental remarks. Overall, it provides an outline of Nazi (National Socialist) ideology. The book was dictated to Rudolf Hess, and the oral style is very apparent, with its emphasis on rhetoric, generalizations, repetition, emotionalism and scarcity of details and factual support.

Mahatma Gandhi

Translated by Mahadev Desai and with a New PrefaceThe only authorized American editionMohandas K. Gandhi is one of the most inspiring figures of our time. In his classic autobiography he recounts the story of his life and how he developed his concept of active nonviolent resistance, which propelled the Indian struggle for independence and countless other nonviolent struggles of the twentieth century. In a new foreword, noted peace expert and teacher Sissela Bok urges us to adopt Gandhi's "attitude of experimenting, of tesing what will and will not bear close scrutiny, what can and cannot be adapted to new circumstances," in order to bring about change in our own lives and communities. All royalties earned on this book are paid to the Navajivan Trust, founded by Gandhi, for use in carrying on his work.
